ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
FISH ARE TEACHERS is an artist residency program and public event series from Oko Farms with support from Aerthship.
The Fish Are Teachers Artist Collaborative Series invites 6 artists across disciplines to engage with the ecological processes that sustain life and explore how their creative practices exist in dialogue with the natural world.
Through performance, installation, movement, sound, storytelling, conversation, and other forms of expression, the series highlights the many ways we can cultivate relationships with nature through urban agriculture and collective creativity.
Each collaboration is envisioned as an immersive evening co-created by Oko Farms and participating artists. Together, we explore intersections between artistic practice and urban farming, creating experiences that invite audiences to reflect, participate, and connect.
Collaborations will take the form of talks, dance performances, musical experiences, exhibitions, workshops, readings, communal meals, or interdisciplinary presentations shaped collaboratively between the artist and Oko Farms.
Join us this summer at our farm on Honey’s rooftop for this one of a kind urban farm and artist event!
